Will Investment Archive impact performance history?

I have 20+ years of investment history and performance of Quicken is horrible. I am using the latest subscription on a recent Dell computer. After years of of transactions and multiple accounts being rolled over, posting transactions (bank and brokerage) is awful. Maybe 25 seconds to post a single simple transaction. I have followed quicken suggestions and now at the suggestion is to archive investment transactions. So the question I have is will it impact my historical investment performance reports? I know I can just give it a try, but wondering if others have experienced the same.

Archiving should not affect your performance as measured by the Average annual return columns in the Portfolio views or in the Investing Performance Report. Be sure to include both the current and archive accounts in the report.
