Is there any reason to use cloud synch if I don't use Quicken mobile app? The only reason I ask is my Q file is large and it takes a lot of time.

If you use neither Quicken Mobile nor Quicken on the Web it is recommended to turn your Preference for Mobile Sync to OFF.  Sync needs to be set to ON only if you use Mobile and/or Web.
There will still occasionally be some syncing done with your Cloud Account if Sync is set to OFF but that is mostly for non-financial reasons.  That syncing is needed to tell your installed software that it is licensed, letting your installed software know which edition (functions/features) you are subscribed to (so you can use the Quicken edition you are subscribed to), whether or not your subscription is current, advising you when there is a version update available, etc.  These syncings will occur regardless of whether or not you have Sync set to ON.

Quicken Classic Premier (US) Subscription: R59.10 on Windows 11
