How to backup data every time?

We used to backup every time but now we can only backup every third time, why?

You can do Manual Backups as often as you like, Not necessary to rely on Automatic Backups.

Perhaps you're referring to automatic backups here?  Look at Edit > Preferences... > Backup and see if the number next to "Backup after running Quicken" has been changed from "1" to "3."  It's been known to happen that updates to the program sometimes change how we've set up Quicken to work.
