Why does my brokerage account not reflect the true value?

For example I have $9,943.81 but Quicken shows the value of securities as $64,717.09. That's a big discrepancy.

Market value is calculated by multiplying the number of shares held by the price of the security.  I suggest you reconcile the number of shares and cash held with a statement obtained from the financial institution.  Then, reconcile the price quotes for the securities.
