Redirection when trying to open my Q. files

When I try to open my Q. file it shows me the files for a second or less, then switches to a new screen with with "Quicken" in red big letters at the top and "Having problems with your Quicken ID?" at the bottom; then a box appears that asks me to "SIGN IN". Under "Quicken ID" it enters my correct email address and asks for my Pass Word. If I enter my PW it takes me to my Quicken account.
I've tried to chat with their support but found it very frustrating. I'll try to call them at 650-250-1900, the number given at the bottom of the page.
Any idea what I am dealing with? A bug?

If you haven't already, I suggest you reset the Quicken ID associated with the Quicken file.
- Select Edit > Preferences...
- Select Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts
- Select Sign in as a different user
- Enter yes
- Select Sign Out
- Sign in with the your Quicken ID
