Backup Date

In the past, when I did a Backup the date that I entered became the new date posted at the top of the screen so that I could see when the last BU occurred. At this time, this does not happen. WHY?

This is known issue unfortunately and Quicken team created an alert for it here that you can subscribe to be notified when fixed.

They didn't announce it fixed in the release notes but is now working for me in R41.6.

It seems I didn't test all the use cases.  If you have multiple locations in the pulldown menu, then it will mess up like it did before for selecting "Change".

I am not sure your case is the same as the others suggested. To fit your description, you would have needed to backup, then restore that backup, and possibly also edit the file name.

I am presuming that you were seeing the date in the file name, that with the next backup, a additional date was added to the file name. Without an edit of the file name, the added dates would create an unmanageably long feel name. Please clarify all of your prior procedure.

The location you are referring to displays the name of the currently open file along with the Quicken Edition and the current window displayed.

In this screenshot, it is showing Quicken Premier has the file named current open and displaying the Investing window.

[added]  Evidently the forum is broken and not showing the screenshot that I appended.

As far as I can tell this problem seems to have been fixed in R42.8.
