Besides Amex, with which credit card companies does Quicken have the most success downloading transactions from on a consistent basis? I know Citi Bank (my card) is not on that list.

Generally, any credit card account you're able to download using the Direct Connect connection method or the Web Connect connection method will be more reliable than those that use the Express Web Connect connection method. There are 135 financial institutions supporting credit accounts with the Direct Connect connection method and 1890 financial institutions supporting credit accounts with the Web Connect connection method. Note: Some of the institutions identified may not provide credit card accounts. Also note: Chase has announced their intention to drop support for the Direct Connect connection method or the Web Connect connection method in September.

Citi Credit Cards only: authorization problems or CC-502
You need to allow Quicken access to your Citi credit card account. Activate the account for downloading using "Citi Cards" as the Financial Institution name.
Follow the procedure at https://citi.com/datamanagement
This does not appear to work for Citi Checking, Savings accounts1 -

For checking and savings accounts the financial institution you have to use is Citibank, and it is Express Web Connect only, and has had problems for weeks if not months.
Note that some credit cards serviced by Citi Bank may only be supported with Express Web Connect. These would usually be "store cards".Signature:
