Interpretation???

Can anyone tell me what this means in English?? I tried to update and this is the message I got! The process cannot access the file 'C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Inet\Common\patch\quickenPatch\w4993\base\RPMMigration\MigrationTool.exe' because it is being used by another process.

Windows prevented Quicken from opening a file because it was locked by another program.

I suggest you temporarily disable your anti virus or anti malware program when you attempt to update Quicken.

Thank you SO much! I'll make a note to myself to do this next time! It worked perfectly once I temporarily disabled my protection!

    Hello @dianagarner

I do apologize about this issue with updating accounts and messages like these indicating that the file is in use by another process. Thank you for inquiring about this here on the Quicken Community.

To begin with, are you making use of any Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), antivirus software, pop-up blockers, or new firewall settings? If so, these may need to be turned off or removed in order to troubleshoot this issue further, as they can sometimes cause connectivity issues involving messages like the one described here.

I hope to hear more from you about this.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared
