how to roll back to 41.10

Ever since 41.19, quicken has exhibited a strange behavior on my system. I run parallels (latest version) to virtualize windows 10 on my mac since I gave up on quicken mac. Since 41.19, EVERY time I open my quicken file, it opens and then it hangs. Windows gives me a choice to kill the program or wait. It never continues. I kill quicken, then restart (with or without rebooting), then I restore my backup file in case of file corruption. Once it is restored, it works fine until the next time. It is a pain to always restore from a backup. (BTW, I have done validate file, and that doesnt make a difference). I would like to reinstall 41.10 where this problem didnt exist. To do that, I can download the mondo patch, but I dont know which base version to install and where that base version is located. I am on a subscription. Thanks

To revert to an earlier release, I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install while disconnected from the internet, update by applying the appropriate patch, and restoring a data file saved prior to updating from the earlier patch release.  Normally, I would provide a link to the Quicken Support page on the clean uninstall however, Quicken Support decided to archive the page mistakenly thinking it was no longer needed.  Here's a link to the page as saved on Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20210510044051/https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken  If you did not preserve an earlier installation program, you may download the US subscription version at: https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/install-for-quicken-2018---subscription.html  To update Quicken, I recommend you download and apply the appropriate patch from:https://www.quicken.com/support/reinstalling-and-patching-your-quicken-subscription-version-after-your-membership-has or http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html
To prevent Quicken from applying an update without your approval, I suggest you set Windows UAC settings appropriately (choose default or always notify).

How much RAM have you assigned to Parallels as well as Windows?
With Windows 10 and Quicken not getting any slimmer either, you need to have at least 12 GB RAM available for Windows to operate in. Anything less is not going to perform and suffer from excessive paging I/O.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I definitely will increase RAM allocated. Interestingly, I tried the latest update and it seems to have solved the issue. So 41.19 was the problem! I will stick with 42.8 for a while and not move from there. As well as making a backup of 42.8 so I can revert.

I tried to increase memory in parallels. Turns out the current version of parallels no longer allows you to increase RAM beyond 8 GB. I think parallels is trying to make people pay more for the pro version and has slowly removed options from their standard version!

I ended up reverting to 41.10. Thanks for the info how to do it. I used my CD to install R20.15 with the network disconnected and then applied 41.10 Mondo patch. It solved a number of issues in Quicken I had been having and Quicken support denying they existed.
