Quicken Home and Business Accessory Dwelling Unit: shared utilities

Hi,
I have a primary residence (PR) and legal accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that share utilities. The ADU occupies a total of 25% of the total square footage for my property. My question is, how do I track utility expenses for the ADU? For example, a single utility payment covers both the PR and ADU. One thought is to split the payment transaction, 75% personnel and 25% for the ADU. What would be preferred is to have this done automatically. Is this possible using Quicken Home and Business?

Yes, you should be able to do that.I'd establish "Personal Residence" and "ADU" subcategories to the utility Category you've already got established, then set up a memorized payee with the name of the utility provider, to be split between Personal Residence and ADU by percentages as explained here:0
