Error Opening File After Backup and File Fix After Update

Updated to latest version, performed backup, and received an error that quicken could not open the file after backup. Received the same error after validating the file. I had to exit and reopen quicken.

I want to be clear on the situation; were you able to access the Quicken menu of the same data file that is displaying this error message? Also, have you tried restarting the computer when this message appears? It may help us if you can submit a screenshot of the error message - with personal information redacted as necessary - using the steps listed here.
