Chase update migration - gray screen

I followed the instructions to update my account to the new secure connection method. When I got to the end quicken wanted to ADD a new account instead of linking to my 10+ years of data. I wanted to try again so I disconnected the chase account and am attempting to setup online again but it always goes to a gray screen with the register barely visible in the back. Whether I hit "set up download" or enter the ID and PW and click "set up now" it always goes gray as if it wants to load another window but does not. Guide me please.

I have the same greyed out main window when clicking the Set Up Now button on the connection for a Chase credit card. Another dialog should pop up after clicking the Set Up Now button but it never does. The only option for me is to open Windows Task Manager and terminate Quicken.

Thank you very much for chiming in, I do must force close the application in the task manager to proceed. My next option was to uninstall and install quicken again, just not sure.

MAYBE try this, I didn't work for me but you may have more luck.
    Load the register
    Click the gear
    Select Edit account details
    Select Online services
CLICK SHIFT + CTRL and then click "Set up Now"

It loads an old looking window w/ a prompt for your username and PW from Chase.

When I enter my username and PW it tells me the information is not correct but I know it is. What about you??

I am having the same gray screen issue encountered by others. The CLICK SHIFT + CTRL procedure didn't work for me - it resulted in telling me that my username and password isn't correct.

I'm getting the same grayed-out overlay and the same PW incorrect result as you. When I click ok on the PW incorrect pop-up, it seems to give it another try and then gives me another pop-up which says "Quicken could not establish a better connection than your current connection. Please try again at a later time."

I don't actually have a current connection, so that error message isn't all that helpful.

    Try this.
    1. Deactivate all the accounts if they are activated for downloading.
    2. Select Tools -> Add Account, and then select the Chase button.
    3. Follow the instructions to get setup.
    4. When you get to the Quicken dialog that shows your accounts make sure you link the online accounts to your existing Quicken accounts.

Thanks so much for your advice, @Chris_QPW ! I had been struggling in frustration with this for a week. I just wish Quicken had written these instructions and sent them out (e.g., via email, or via popup at next Quicken sync) proactively, rather than having Chase customers encounter trouble for days without support.
