File Conversion and Backup (Windows)
Moving data from a QDF copy file to the original QDF file
Paul LeLievre
I created a copy of my Quicken file to work through a problem with downloading investment transactions. Subsequently I entered transaction in the copy file and now I want to convert the copy file to the original file. Is there a way to do this. It's not a backup file that I can restore.

Is the "copy" file fully up-to-date? If so, why don't you just keep using it and ignore/delete the original file.
You use singular "transaction" in your question, is it really a bunch of transactions that would be a lot of work to enter again?

The "copy file" seems fully up-to-date but the file sizes differ. Orig QDF 326,000kb and copy QDF 270,000 why the difference?
It was many investment transactions that were downloaded and way too many to have to be manually input the original file.
