Post Chase connection update.-Visa register running balance is wrong

Has anyone experienced this problem?
After updating the CHASE connection, I noticed that my VISA register's running balance is wrong. Instead of adding a charge, it is "subtracting" it and the running balance shows a lower amount. The running balance was okay before the update. I've reinstalled Quicken with the latest update, did the CHASE update and the problem occured again.
It's most likely a Quickend programming problem that needs fixing.

Sounds like you are in a positive balance situation. Unless you have overpaid your CC, that is an unlikely situation.Check the Opening Balance of the account to make sure it is correct.Other things to check for is extra, duplicate payments that would put you in an overpayment balance.

Thanks for your feedback however, I don't think that's the problem. The register was okay prior to the update. It was not until the Chase update was completed that the running balance situaton occurred.0

I restored a backup and checked the beginning balance of the register. Pre Chase update, the beginning balance was zero and the running balances are okay and charged enter reflected the correct balance update in red (negative) which indicates what's due. However, after completing the update, for some reason, there is now a beginning balance which is a large postive number. I can't change this value since it was the opening balance transaction when creating the account.
So the question is....
1) Why did this happen.
2) Is there a way to correct the beginning balance?0 -
Quicken recently changed something the in the process of activating One Step Update to existing accounts that causes the Opening Balance to be changed, this was not be design (I hope), but it is causing a lot of users problems. We have been advising users to enter the Opening Balance amount in the Memo field for future reference if it happens again.
What is preventing you from changing the Opening Balance transactions amount? If it is a comment about it being a "Reconciled" transaction, that is just a warning, ignore it this one time and make the change to what it used to be.-splasher using Q continuously since 1996

thanks for the update. I was able to update the opening balance and the running balance looks okay now. Just have to review the downloaded transactions and delete those marked as "new", even though they have been downloaded before the update.0
