How do I rearrange accounts across separate headings?
Frank2
The drag and drop function works well to rearrange the order of the accounts list within a specific heading, but it does not permit an account to be moved under a different heading in the accounts list. I wish to move a credit card account from "Banking" to "Business". Currently under "Business" I show only banking accounts. Wish to add the credit card associated with the business.

Yes - You indicated that you had a "Business" section, so I assumed you were running H,B & RP. Probably wouldn't be cost effective to upgrade just for this particular issue.

Hi
@Frank2
This should be pretty easy. Please follow these directions:
1) Open up the credit card account and click on the little "Gear" icon in the upper right corner;
2) Select "Edit account details";
3) Click on the "Display Options" tab:
4) In the "Account Intent" box (at the bottom) - change the second drop-down selection to "Business"
Let me know if you have any followups and how that goes.

Thanks for your input. I did try that, but do not have any option to choose "Business" under the Account Intent. I have only 2 options, "Credit" and "Liability".

Hi again
@Frank2
,
You need to make the selection in the bottom drop down, not the top one. The bottom has 3 options: "Personal" - which is the current selection, and either "Business" or "rental Property - select Business and you'll be good to go.

Which version of Quicken are you using? I thought it was "Home, Business & Rental Property" - is that correct? Also, is this a US version, or Canada, or something else?

Quicken Premier R43.20 US version...figured you were talking about a different version of Quicken.

When you create a category with a business tax line Quicken Premier does turn on some Business functions, but not all. This seems to be one that is different between the two editions of Quicken.

Apparently....

Thanks for sticking with me...I figured as much when I saw your recommendation and read your banner...two different versions...Quicken has some real quirky things about it, but still one of the better programs around.
