Asked to sign in Chase when setting up AmEx account online!

When I attempted to set up online with my AE account, a window comes up for me to sign in with Chase! I have used Quicken for 3 decades and it's the 1st time things like this happen to me. Please help.

I'm guessing that the Chase update popup message (due to the on-going Chase conversion) is triggered because you started an Add Account process (also triggered by a One Step Update). That's poor timing and should be ignored, especially if you don't even have Chase accounts. Were you able to continue with the AmEx setup process?0

Thanks for the reply. I actually also have accounts with Chase. And also have a little problem on linking Chase to my accounts in Quicken. While it could successfully linked to my Chase Saving and one of my credit card accounts with them, one account with them would never show up on their window for me to link it. It would only let me open a new account (I could not have the transaction continue downloading to my existing account).
Back to the problem with the setting up online with my AE account, I have tried doing it many times and in different ways and in vain. By whatever way I attempted to set up the online, the Chase window comes up for me to sign in.. .0 -
Go to the account details and make sure the information there isn’t for Chase. If it is clear it out before trying to setup the connection again. There have been reports that in some cases the Chase conversion has changed the financial institution information in accounts that aren’t with Chase.Signature:

Thank you for the reply. I actually had checked the Edit Account Detail info and found "Not available" in light grey font in the Customer ID box. It won't let me input any info into it on my attempt either. When I clicked the "?" next to the box, it shows "The Customer ID is not available for this Chase account..".0

When I first found out Chase had mysteriously downloaded transactions of my Chase credit card into this AE saving account, I did the Deactivate already. Now, since the account is not linked online anymore, the only option available is the Setup Online (Deactivating is not available).0
