Recover old .qdf password

I am a current Quicken subscriber and use the current version for my personal bookkeeping. However, I also have a very old (2013) version of the software I use to document some of my investments. I put a password on the .qdf file but now have no idea what it is (its been months since I used it).
I tried to open it in the new software to see if it would recover the password (the old software does not give a "forgot password" option). The new software did not open it with my current password. Probably not connection between the 2013 .qdf file and my current Quicken. com account.
Does anyone have any idea how I can recover the password?

My suggestion would be to contact Quicken Support, they might be able to reset/bypass the password.
