I am hoping someone can help me. I only use Quicken Rental Property 2007 and I am not familiar with the rest. i keep getting the qrental.exe-system error and I was told i need to subscribe if i want to access my old files. and so I did and downloaded the newer version without downloading the quicken2013 first. thank you in advance

Hello @fneeley515,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
In order to properly convert from a Quicken 2007 file, it will require you to convert to an intermediate version first (Quicken 2013) before you can convert to the latest version.
For step-by-step instructions on how to do so, please review and follow the instructions found in this support article.
Thank you!-Quicken Anja

In other words:
- If you downloaded and installed the current subscription edition you will need to uninstall it.
- Then download and install the Quicken 2013 file to convert your Quicken 2007 files into the QDF data file format. (The link for downloading Quicken 2013 is in the Support Article.) (Note: Quicken 2013 is the Deluxe edition. But it should still convert all of your rental data from your 2007 files.)
- Once that is done you can then upgrade from Quicken 2013 to the current subscription edition of your choice.
