I changed the connection to Bank of America to EWC+. Now my accounts are all showing wrong balances. The CC register has no categorization.

I have a similar problem. It sets the original open value to a very negative number. It then doesn't download any further transactions either. This EWC+ for Bank of America DOES NOT WORK. We need options to get back away from this setup. It simply is horrible.

I have tried everything I can and I am still getting an error and cannot update Bank of America accounts. This is sickening after using Quicken for as long as I can remember and Bank of America for more than 30 years. I am able to update my finances through [Removed - 3rd-Party Software] easily. So most likely it is goodbye Quicken for me.

No official word from the Quicken people to 1) acknowledge the problem of incorrect BofA balances after switching to EWC+, 2) explain how it will be fixed, and 3) provide a timetable for fixing this? Considering the problem with American Express accounts has persisted for months with nothing more than "we're continuing to work on it" messages, this would seem to be extremely poor performance and response to customer needs by Quicken Inc.

Turn off pending and check for an inaccurate opening balance that was inserted when switching to EWC+ if you had any pending transactions

    Thanks, miklk.
My opening balance (on 1/1/2001) was set to 0 after EWC+ conversion.
Fortunately, I had backed up the data file before the conversion and I copied the opening balance from that version. Voila! everything seems fine, at least for the time being.

I tried call Quicken, They wanted to charge me $300.00 to fix the problem with B of A and my other accounts. I gave a few choice words.. Quicken needs to get this fixed. We are already paying a yearly fee for quicken. What is the time line for the fix.....Having to log into each of my CC and Bank Accounts one by one just to make sure Quicken is showing me the correct info is getting old.

You didn't connect Quicken Customer Support. You probably searched and found some bogus Quicken support site. Quicken doesn't charge for support.

I don't like the change to EWC

    1) when transactions to three of my credit card accounts are downloaded, the all say "credit card payment" I used to get the user name I defined
    2) I don't get processing or future transactions.

    Can I change back?

No,  Bank of America has permanently dropped Direct Connect.

    EDIT:
#1 answer.  What is sent as the payee is entirely up to your financial institution, both in Direct Connect and Express Web Connect +, nothing in between is going to change it.  So, if they changed what they are sending the only ones that can change/fix it is your financial institution.
#2 The ability to tie into the financial institution's bill payment system is only available with Direct Connect.  Express Web Connect and Express Web Connect + don't have the commands in the protocols to do this.

Issue with Bank America (all other states) since change to EWC. Have 4 accounts and transaction records all downloaded with Direct Connect. With EWC transactions in two accounts do not download although "Last Download date/time" appear on account in Quicken. Bank of America shows Third Party Data Access Authorized with Quicken (Intuit) for each of the four accounts. I can't tell if issue is with Quicken or bank.
