Fiscal year budget

You might want to try Edit > Preferences > Calendar and currency > select "fiscal year" > select the Starting Month from the drop down > OK.Note: Making this change will affect other reports and tools, not just the budget. So, you might want to check it out and see if this does what you want it to do. If it doesn't give you what you want you can always change the preference back to Calendar year.

HI @Cmaston,
When setting up your Windows Quicken file, you can setup a fiscal year by going to: "Edit" > "Preferences" > "Calendar & currency" > and selecting "Fiscal year" and entering the starting month. Once this basic datafile setup selection is made, any budget you setup will also be reported on the fiscal year you selected above.
Let me know if you have any followups.

need Fiscal year setting for Mac please0

Hi @michelsal,
Unlike Quicken for Windows, Quicken for Mac does not have a setting for a fiscal year.
Over time, I've seen posts here asking about fiscal year options for the Mac. My understanding is that one can start a budget in any month (i.e. doesn't have to be on a calendar or any other basis) and in terms of preparing reports - again a Mac user can select any starting and ending date, so it is clear that such versatility allows users to effectively manage Quicken on a fiscal year basis.
Hope this helps.
