How do I set the default for Investments sold to First In First Out (FIFO)? It is annoying to have to go through the dialog for each investment sold, when I always select FIFO.

Under the Edit menu click on Preferences. Then set it up as shaded/highlighted in the following picture. This needs to be individually set for each investment account you might have so repeat the process for the other accounts if you have them.Edit: I also recommend clicking on Settings for "Compare account portfolio after download" and selecting your Investment Account(s) for this. Then if there is a mismatch in what Quicken reports as holdings of a security and what the Brokerage downloaded as your holdings Quicken will flag it for you and enter a Placeholder so you will know that a holdings issue needs to be addressed.Let me know if this answers your inquiry and/or if you have any questions.
