How do I set the default for Investments sold to First In First Out (FIFO)? It is annoying to have to go through the dialog for each investment sold, when I always select FIFO.

Under the Edit menu click on Preferences.  Then set it up as shaded/highlighted in the following picture.  This needs to be individually set for each investment account you might have so repeat the process for the other accounts if you have them.
Edit:  I also recommend clicking on Settings for "Compare account portfolio after download" and selecting your Investment Account(s) for this.  Then if there is a mismatch in what Quicken reports as holdings of a security and what the Brokerage downloaded as your holdings Quicken will flag it for you and enter a Placeholder so you will know that a holdings issue needs to be addressed.
Let me know if this answers your inquiry and/or if you have any questions.
