Investment dividend transaction not updating cash balance

Quicken reflected an investment dividend, but didn't update the cash balance in the account. How can I fix this?

    Most often this issue is caused by a Placeholder in your account for the affected security at a later date than the transaction.

    Make sure Placeholders are visible by going to Edit> Preferences > Investments and make sure Show hidden transactions is selected.
