As of latest update in the last several weeks, Bank America bill pay transactions no longer download. Has anyone ever seen this problem? Solution?
No problem downloading current transactions, just cannot download bill pay transactions?

Being able to download scheduled bill payments is a Direct Connect only feature. Since Bank of America is dropping Direct Connect you also lose this feature.

I do not use Direct Connect. I enter bill pay transactions into bank website. These bank bill pay transactions do not download. Any ideas why they do not download but all other transactions in each account are downloading correctly?0

I like to describe the bill pay through Direct Connect is like Quicken acting like a GUI for the financial institution's bill payment system. If you created an online payment in Quicken it was synced to the financial institution's bill payment system. If you created a bill payment on the financial institution's bill system (website) it would be synced back to Quicken.
With Express Web Connect + that syncing to the financial institution's bill payment system is gone.
It will only download transactions that are posted in your account.

Thank you for clarifying. Is there any information when BankAmerica will reactivate Direct Connect?0

BofA will not reactivate Bill Pay through Quicken. You need to use Bill Pay on the BofA web-site.Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

This loss of scheduled bill pay transactions is a major downgrade of service. Before, I could see the effect of scheduled transactions on my balance and take steps to avoid an overdraft if needed. Now, I can't do that.1

- at the BofA website record your bill pay transaction
- at the same in Quicken set up once and use every month a Scheduled Reminder to record this transaction in your register
This will give you the capability to forecast your future balance, either in the register set to show future transactions or in the Projected Balances view.

I suspected as much and this thread confirms it. I agree it is a downgrade of service. Scheduling transactions thru bill pay and having them download into Quicken was quick and easy. The solution described above is simply performing the same actions manually. The whole point of using software to manage an account is to make it easier, not more difficult.0

Couldn't agree more! I've been using Quicken for 20 years now. The automatic download of bill payments scheduled with Bank of America has always been seamless and efficient. The need to revert to a manual work around is simply unacceptable.0 -

People might find my explanation of the security of the different connection types useful since it is one of the main reasons stated for going to Express Web Connect +.
