How do I get rid of unwanted tags and memos?

Every check downloaded from my bank includes a tag and memo I used once several years ago.  Every single time I have to delete the tag and memo form every single check.  Every single time. After too much time wading in this forum and on the Quicken site I cannot find anywhere how to correct this and make it stop.  Any ideas?

Check the Memorized Payees (Tools menu) for a transaction with the tags and memos, edit it, delete the tag and memo, save it and mark it locked to prevent change in the future.
