Transfering Quicken Deluxe 2017 to my new computer problem

My old computer was on its last legs so I bought a new one with Windows 11 home edition. I copied the install files from the old computer and installed on the new one. When trying to restore the saved data file Quicken gives me a screen that quicky flashes from my account (very briefly showed my old screen and accounts) to a screen telling me about the separation of Quicken from Intuit. It is asking for a new ID with quicken. I signed out with a "yes maybe in error. What do I do to be able to restore my old data short of going with the subscription service now being offered? No other options frpm the screen asking for a new Quicken Id seem to help

You need to do two things and hopefully your old computer is still running.1) download and run the last patch for QW2017 from this link: Quicken Updates2) find the Quicken.ini file on your old computer and copy it to the same location on the new computer. See this thread on the topic: Migrating Quicken 2017 from old to new computer - Quicken Data Access Guarantee — Quicken
-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
