Memo field disappeared

I recently upgraded from an old version of Quicken. When I started using the new version, I noticed that the memo field disappeared from the checking register. (It is still present in the register of other accounts such as credit cards, etc.) I also use "EFT" in the check number field for payments that are automatically deducted from my checking account. All of these EFT transactions also disappeared. What happened? How do I get these transactions back?

Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the account, click "Register Columns" and check the box for the Memo field.
