Searching transactions is abysmal only allowing one character per second

Trying to type into the registers search bar causes the letters to show up one pers second. I can type an entire word and then have to sit and watch the letters slowly popup on the screen. This is ridiculous for an app in 2022.

I'm not seeing such. The letters appear as fast as I can type them.SO, let's try a few things. Please do HELP, and hold down the CTRL key while you click ABOUT Quicken. What values are shown there?Have you tried a FILE Validation (after you've taken a backup)? FILE, Validate & Repair, check "Validate File" and OK. Does the problem still exist?

I've had the same problem, intermittently, but I didn't think it was being caused by Quicken. Does it happen all the time? Try rebooting your computer next time. I have a utility program, System Mechanic, that analyzes registry issues, memory usage, and other things, and when I've run it when this happens, it says the available memory is very low. The utility can release the memory, which takes less time than rebooting (a full reboot takes 10-15 minutes on my 10 year old laptop). I don't know for a fact that this issue is caused by low available memory, or whether it's Quicken or something else that is tying up the memory.0

Thanks for the reply.
Here is a screen shot of the about values. And I have done a file validation and it shows no problems with my file.

You file is pretty small by most standards, and since Validate didn't find anything I'd suspect program corruption (unless oraclemetro has hit a homer).Try creating a test file, with only a single account in it and see if the issue persists there. If it does, you might try taking a backup, UNinstalling Q, and re-installing Q (which should bring it up to your current release level).
