Easiest way to import transactions from TXT or CSV ?

Hi Quicken community,

Does anyone have an idea of what is the best way to import transactions stored in the text format in a file. The file is very simple:

<date> <payee> <amount>

There are about 100 transactions that I need to import into a standard Quicken credit card account. In the past I had to reverse engineer one of Quicken formats (QIF if I recall correctly) and use complex awk pipeline to generate such a file from this data. Does anyone know if there is an easier way ?

You can use ImportQIF to import a CSV file.

Thanks a lot, that's what I was looking for! I wish Quicken made it easier and added ability to import CSVs with transactions.

While I use ImportQIF and love it, Quicken doesn't make it that hard to do a QIF import compared to earlier versions of Quicken. You just need to do a QIF export so that you can see the exact format that it expects, create your QIF file using that format and then do the import from the File menu.

ImportQIF just makes it easier and QPW gives it away.
