I recently added shares of stock to an account and now the cash value in my portfolio valuation report is far too large. Help!

What Action did you use when adding the shares - Added or Bought? Adding shares does not reduce the cash in the account, you must Buy them unless they were received as a gift or transferred from another account.

Jim: Thanks for your help. For reasons I don't understand I closed down Quicken and my computer. When I brought them back up the report was working properly. I have learned not try to figure these things out. Thanks again! Bill Nonidez
