What do I do when my account won't accept a new password after I reset it? (Q Mac)

I forgot my password. So I went through the process of resetting it. But, when I try to use the new password, it is not recognized. Now, I cannot access my account

     In order to better assist you further, could you please clarify and specify exactly which password you are referring to (i.e.: Quicken ID password, data file password, bank password, etc)?
