How can one connect to Aero Federal CU Now?

Hi @nickhayduke5402
Can you give us some more information about the connection problems?
What actually happens now when you try to connect? Are you getting any error codes - if so which one(s)? Do you know which "connection method" you had been using (direct connect, express web connect, or web connect)? Any additional information that you can provide will help us to get you back up and connected?

When it first happened, it was "direct connect". No error message except Quicken could not connect with Aero. This went on for three days. Check with the CU and they informed me, all was good on their end. Reset my CU direct connect password and same problem. Disabled the download, went to web connect, as this is what all of my other accounts have been forced to migrate to. Now it would not connect, using any of my current or previous credentials. Another check with my CU, and they informed me to contact Quicken. The only error when attempting to connect through Quicken is there is a problem and to contact Quicken support. So, here I am.0

Hi again @nickhayduke5402
So first, I want to clear one thing up.
You said "...they informed me to contact Quicken. The only error when attempting to connect through Quicken is there is a problem and to contact Quicken support. So, here I am." Please understand that this Quicken Community that you've just posted to is not Quicken Support. To contact Quicken Support you should use this LINK. Quicken Support and employees of Quicken, Inc. who are trained professionals who help Quicken users. Members of this Quicken Community are fellow Quicken users who volunteer their time to help other Quicken users.
And based on the additional information that you have provided me (above) I agree with the folks at your CU. Please use the above link to contact Quicken Support. Please let us know how that goes.

Yes, I understand that this is the Quicken community. I have had a few problems ever since Quicken left the Intuit family. The luck in solving my issues have all come from the old Beta site and from the community. I will try the link tomorrow as the two attempts to call and actually speak with a human have been for naught. The first I was on hold for nearly 23 minutes and then the line clicked, and I was disconnected. The second was just as frustrating, I simply hung up after 30 minutes on hold. With this kind of response, one is not thrilled with trying to "contact support". Thanks for your help and I will see what I can do tomorrow.0

Hi @nickhayduke5402,
Thanks for the reply. I am sorry to hear that you haven't had a positive experience with Q support in the past. And in my post, I simply wanted to make sure that you knew we aren't them. We do get quite a few newbies here and while you aren't in that category, it is impossible to know when responding to a new post.

Frankx, I want to thank you for both your time and candor. I understand. What was once the best accounting program has changed significantly. As often happens, improvements are not always comfortable for some. This is where I have been pushed to. I am looking at another program, written by Intuit and I like the features, but the entry system is a bit cumbersome. The dual entry system, of which Quicken was based, is my choice.
Thanks again,

Out of curiosity I checked the fidir.txt file for "Aero Federal Credit Union" and it shows that they still support Direct Connect.
When using Direct Connect the flow is Quicken (the program) to the OFX server at the financial institution, which leave very little chance that the problem isn't at the financial institution. It could be a change in Quicken, but that is doubtful. This is the reason for Direct Connect getting in touch with the right people to support it at the financial institution is essential.
On the other hand, they also support Express Web Connect. The flow with it is:
Quicken (the program) -> Quicken server/Quicken cloud dataset -> Intuit server (their aggregator) -> financial institution's website.
As you can see for Express Web Connect has a lot more players involved and so finding which is at fault is much more difficult. What's more most of the time the problem is going to be either at Intuit or the financial institution. And now you have Quicken Inc in the middle which is basically a customer that can only ask these parties to look into the problem (if you can even get Quicken Support to escalate the problem)Signature:

I thank you for your information. I have been able to reconnect with Aero FCU using Express connect. All attempts to use direct connect, were blocked and unable to complete, on the Quicken side. I have now noticed that my last Direct connect account (Discover) is no longer updating. I cannot check my Discover in any form in Quicken. You cannot update Quicken if the download is not in the Quicken format. Discover does not honor this (Quicken) format. One more time, the program is dropping into a well of uselessness. Thank you for you inputs.
