importing two quicken2017 files

I have two separate quicken2017 files, one is a business account and the other is personal. I just upgraded to the mac subscription and imported the personal file. That worked well. How do I import the biz file as a separate file? When I try to do this from the file import and select the biz file, it is grayed out.

You don't want to import the second file, unless your goal is to try to merge them into one. Instead, go to File > New, and select the option for starting from a Quicken 2007 file, just as you did for your personal file. Select the business file, and let Quicken do its conversion. You should end up with two files, the same as you had with Quicken 2007. You can switch between them using File > Open Recent.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
