Schwab Transaction Download

When I one step download transactions I get a count of the number of transactions downloaded. When I go to the register there are no transactions in the download window. However, what I noticed in the register is one transaction with a cleared status of R and an amount equal to the total of the transactions downloaded. Example I go to my account online, add up the amount for the transaction downloaded and that is the amount Quicken post to my account in the register.

    Hello @BKD,

I am sorry about this issue with reconciling accounts and downloaded transaction totals. Thank you for looking to the Quicken Community for assistance.

Is there any way you could provide screenshots of what you're seeing - with personal information redacted as necessary? You can follow the steps explained in this FAQ in order to do this. Also note that you may drag and drop your images into your comment in order to submit images, as well.

I look forward to your response.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared

Thank Jared I have resolved the problem. However I am having another issue with Schwab downloads. All of my transactions go directly to the register. I've change all the settings not to do it but it still downloads directly into the register. My Schwab checking account is linked to my investment account. Any ideas?

    Hello @BKD,

I am so glad to hear that the initial issue seems to have been resolved. Thank you for asking about this new problem with missing downloads; we will need to run a test to isolate this problem further.

If you have the chance, you could save a backup by going to File > Copy or Backup File... in the upper menu at the top of the screen and then create a 'test' data file by going to the same menu and selecting New Quicken File... Next, choose New Quicken File in the screen that follows, and then click OK. After this, choose a file location on your computer and then click Save. Choose Don't use mobile and web when prompted.

You may then add your Charles Schwab-associated accounts by navigating to the Add Account button in the upper left-hand side of the screen, denoted by the '+' symbol. Let us know if you see the same issue with missing transactions occurring in the test data file once this is attempted.

I look forward to hearing about your results, and I hope to correspond about this matter further, if necessary.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared

Jared when i created the test file it automatically added all my transaction probably because the auto add was turned on in the first download. I turned all setting off so i will have to wait until the next download to see if the problem still exists. (Correction the downloads are not missing they are not going to the download window for me to accept them). I get back to you on the next download, thanks
