Clicking on hide security in the security list does NOT hide Calls and Puts from my account holdings. My account holdings are getting cluttered with these items. Others have been complaining about this.

You can't control which securities are displayed when you click on Holdings when viewing an account - it always displays all the securities you hold in that account.

But if you go to Investing > Portfolio you can customize a view to include just the accounts and securities you want to see.

When in the Account Overview (the Holdings view), please take a look at the options available under the Gear icon.
Is "Show closed lots" enabled (checkmarked)?
If it is, your Holdings view will show an entry for every security you ever owned in this account, even if you no longer actually own any shares in this security.
