Trouble creating a report that includes sub-categories

I have a number of categories similar to category "auto" and subcategories such a "fuel" and Service. When I create a report all it shows is the main category and total expense for that category but won't show the sub-categories.
Any ideas on how to create this report with sub-categories?

First you say "a" report then you say "this" report. Quicken has lots of reports and plenty of them show subcategories by default. So it's unclear which report you're trying to produce.Try Reports > Spending > Spending by Category. That should give you what you want.

If Spending by Category does not meet your needs, the Itemized Categories report has plus signs next to the main Categories. Yo can click on a plus sign to expand one category at a time, or click on Update to show and Category Summary to see the subcategories or Transaction detail to see all the transactions.QWin Premier subscription1
