Can you add sub-categories to existing and newly created categories for transactions?

I'm jot sure I understand your question. If you are asking if you can add sub-categories to categories, the answer is yes, with he exception of the Investments category which is protected by Quicken. 

After you create new sub-categories, you can use them in any transactions, past or future.

Is that what you were asking?

Thanks for responding Jacobs. I was asking how to execute the creation of sub-categories. Just subscribed today so very green and I apologize for not explaining well. After some research I found "Categories" under "Window" in the menu bar was able to create the custom categories and sub-categories I was looking to accomplish. Thanks again for taking the time to assist.
