LOST Categories

Have had TONS of quicken issues lately but things were looking up and then I backed up my file a few days ago, logged in today to download transactions and accept them when I have a whole bunch of categories MISSING! tried to restore from previous backup, they are gone. Tech support could not resolve this. Can anyone help? Tax season is approaching and I cannot begin to run a business and try to remember all lost categories.

    Which version are you running?  (Help > About Quicken)
    Have you tried doing Validate & Repair?  (File > Validate and Repair file)
    Have you tried any other troubleshooting processes?  If so, what have you tried?
