While trying to recategorize a transaction in my checking account register I got this wonderful little error.
"Can't modify this transaction, because it has been damaged. Please delete it and create a new one"
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Some previous posts reference validations as being part of the problem so I'm hesitant to get experimental...

Have you tried deleting the transaction and re-creating it? What happened? If so, then a validation IS in order ... but take a backup before you begin that non-experimental course.
