Change Stock Split to Buy Shares

How do I correct a transaction that shows as a Stock Split to Buy-Shares and enter the price paid?

    Was there really a stock split on or about this date? Which company are we talking about?
    If there was a split, it should remain a Stock Split transaction.
    A Buy transaction would be incorrect under these circumstances, because you didn't really buy anything and no cash was involved. Potentially, one could record an Add Shares transaction, but, IMHO, a correctly entered Split is best.

    I've seen brokerage firms download "Add Shares" when a Split was actually the correct action.
    In which case I'd delete the downloaded transaction and use Q's Split function.
