Has anyone else lost all their budget (planning) information?

Options
I have used Quicken for many years. Recently my budget from the planning tab has disappeared. As typical, I waited for it to reappear or have some sort of update fix but it hasn't happened yet. I am not going to go back and try to restore as that is ridiculous. Is this really the only option?

My disappearing budget issue became more severe after the last Quicken update R47.15 which was supposed to have fixed it. I have never set up Quicken for cloud sync. I did double check that all preferences were properly set to not sync. Even reloaded Quicken and selected no cloud sync at first log in. Despite all of that, any data file that I restored would give me "syncing to cloud" status upon opening it and then tell me that I have not set up any budgets (e.g. it had deleted all of my budgets). Since there is no way that I can see to uninstall Quicken releases that are defective, I ended up restoring my system to a point before Quicken R47 was released, reverting my data file to that date and then re-entering 2 weeks worth of data. I started a new thread on this here: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7929632/all-budgets-have-disappeared#latest.

You can "roll back" by installing the patch of the older version.  You can get those from here:

I was told that I have to create a new budget. "there should be a fix soon in one of the updates that will come but I cannot guarantee that your budgets will appear." To say I am frustrated is an understatement. Been using budgets since 2014 and they are ALL lost with not guarantee they will be recovered. Told to start over is my only option.

Have you tried restoring a backup file?  I have been losing my budgets every once in a while and when it happens I just restore a backup and they are there.  I agree with Quicken that it seems to be a memory issue since it always seems to happen when I have done a lot in Quicken and have had it open for a while.  I now make sure to take VERY frequent backups, especially when I do many transactions.  I also try to close and reopen Quicken frequently.
