There will never be “no sync”!, and as Quicken will just tell you “like it or leave it”.
so - do you use One Step Update to download any transactions ? You can turn off the Quicken Cloud, but Quicken still needs to contact its servers. Auto Backup - WHY would you ever want to turn this off with Quicken being somewhat fragile and file corruption happening.
About turning off Sync to Cloud
The checkbox or slider button (depends on Quicken version) is in Edit / Preferences / Mobile & Web.
there is no backup to the Cloud - at least not to the Quicken Cloud - What bank - ? and what “download protocol” is used…. as per Account List - Direct Connect or Express Web Connect ?
To clarify, I don't need to access Cloud. I only download transactions from bank to Quicken program and don't use any other feature for online.Added note: I'm able to download transactions from the bank to a file in my computer. I then open up that file and it transfers into the Quicken program. I have never used Cloud through all the years. My concern is how it automatically backs up to Cloud
