remove shares doesn't remove shares

Maybe I'm missing something, but if the portofolio has 10 shares of company X, and I then add a transaction to remove 10 shares of company X, shouldn't the portfolio show 0 shares of company X?

    Is this account configured to download from your brokerage company? If yes, Quicken wil keep adjusting the share balance to match what it's downloading from the financial instituion.

    If no, it's likely there is a placeholder transaction in your account, which is maintaining the status quo.
