Today when I downloaded transactions from my Amex account, every one had XXXX-XXXXXX-X2000 in the memo field. This is new. What gives?

When you look at the Amex website, is there anything like that in the description information for those transactions?

I see this too. It's a recent change. The 4 digits after the Xs are the last four of the card number, so I could actually tell whether my wife used it (usually 😁) or I did.

The solution is to check the Don't update memo when downloading box on the Online Services tab of the Account Details. If you ever want to see a downloaded memo in the future, you can temporarily enable the Downloaded Memo field (column) in the register.

Same here. But the stuff that used to come into the memo field on download was often very useful. So I don't want to clear it out either. Do we assume that this is something American Express changed as opposed to Quicken? I really need the actual original memo from the transaction to go into the memo filed like it used to. Any suggestions to resolve this?
