When reconciling my account, entries posted on the last day of the month are not reflected on the reconcilaiton screen resulting in a reconciliation difference.

Are these transactions dated on the last day of the month but not posted by the financial institution until the following day? It's not unsual for a bank for show a transaciton with a date of March 31 but actually not post it until April 1, for instance. To check this, click on one of these transactions and go to View > Show Inspector. In the bottom section of the window, look at Date Posted. Quicken always uses the Date Posted when doing reconciliations.

If this is the case, there's an easy way to work with this: when starting your reconciliation, simply enter the statement ending date as the first day of the next month rather than the last day of the prior month. This will cause the reconciliation window to pick up any transactons posted on the first day of the next month. If it pickes up any transactions which actually took place on the first of the month, you just won't check them off in your reconciliation, so they're ignored.
