    Yes. Edit the security details.

Do you want to set a target asset allocation for your portfolio or set the allocation for a particular security?

To set your target allocation, got to Investing > Allocations and click under the Target graph.

To define the allocation for a secuity, you can go to Tools > Security List and click on the security name to open its Security Details page. Click on Edit details then in the Asset Class box, pick Mixture and click on Define. After setting your definition, be sure to un-check the Download asset class information box.

Thank you for your response. In fact, I am trying to use the Asset Class attribute of the security in a different way. I am using it as a proxy for a number of porfolios that the security may be a component of. For instance, my target for AMZN may be 30% of portfolio A and 70% of porfolio B. Hence the need to define a mixture of asset classes for each security.

I the meantime I figured out a solution. I define the Type of the security as "Other", which enables the "Mixture" button in the Asset Class group and I can then define my allocation. When the Type is "Stock" the Mixture button is not enabled.

    Thanks again for your reply.

Type = Mutual Fund should also open the mixture option, but Other sounds like it should fit your desires better.

Thanks for clarifying and sharing your solution.

Also if you have Quicken Premier or higher, you can use the Stock Intersection tab on the Portfolio X-Ray to see the percentage of the top 50 securities in your portfolio or selected accounts. This works for publicly traded securities that are in Morningstar's database. This means that special 401(k) funds will not be included.
