My previously entered paycheck splits are gone. Why?

Most of my already entered paycheck splits are gone. This is absolutely unbelievable. Why? Why did this happen? Why would anything in Quicken allow the program, on its own, to remove these time consuming splits and remove the layout I used to enter them?
