Ameritrade conversion to Schwab
On 5/26/2023 all Ameritrade accounts will be switched over to Schwab accounts. As part of the conversion a new Schwab account must be created with new logon credentials.
My questions is what is the best way to handle this conversion within Quicken? Should I somehow close my Ameritrade account within Quicken and then create a new Schwab account within Quicken and set up electronic downloads on the new account with the new Schwab credentials? Or is it better/simpler to just keep using my Quicken Ameritrade account, perhaps rename it to Schwab and then update the electronic downloads ie logon credentials, account number etc to the Schwab account?
Are there any expert recommendations on the best way to make this transition within Quicken?
