How do I setup a loan to a third party

Windows quicken (current). Instructions I found were for early versions of quicken and does not relate the screens currenty

    I'm not sure why you're using the "Investing" category here or the reference to a third party.

    Do you really want the (assumed) loan receivable shown as an Investment Account in Quicken? And, what's the "third party" aspect?

    I don't think the screens you see in the Investment Accounts have changed much over the years, but maybe you could point to whatever instructions you found?
