Why does data entered in the Quantity column add the data to the rate column instead?

This sporadically happens when I enter hours under the QTY column and hit "ENTER" it puts the hours in the RATE column which is not correct.

I've tried deleting, erasing everything in the line, updated Quicken app, cleared History, refreshed screen, restarted desktop, anything and everything to fix this I've tried.

PLEASE, can someone tell me how to fix this and how to prevent this from happening again?

Could someone let me know how to stop this from happening? It happens sporadically and is very frustrating.

You have asked the same or similar question in your other discussion, Regards entering info on an Invoice I created but never continued the discussion.

Depending on how the underlying line item is defined, the usual QTY * RATE = AMOUNT calculation may not be available.
So, to answer your question, I need to know what Line Item Detail definition is active for your invoice line #9.
Edit your Invoice Layout and add the ITEM definition back so that it appears in the data entry dialog, e.g.,

It's needed for correct data entry and to solve this puzzle.

That will let you know if there is an unexpected or incorrect line item definition in use for this line. If there is, blank it out or replace it with a correct Item definition.
