OTOH, it's my understanding that the conversion back to Windows was never really considered to be supported. Why? Good question. Only Quicken management could tell us …

re your file size/complexity concern previously suggested, you could create a very simple dummy file (one account, a few transactions) in Q-Mac and then try the import process on that.

It also sounds like your Windows OS is running under a simulator on the Mac (Parallels or similar). Could that be a blockage? Can you try on a true Windows PC?

Thank you for your reply. You are correct, I actually was running Windows on a separate partition on my Mac when I posted the other posts, but I am now on an actual Windows PC running Windows 11. Unfortunately, no change.
I will give the dummy file idea a try and provide an update.

Update: I created a test file with 1 checking and 1 saving (manual) accounts and it imported fine (had some errors), but it did import.

So now I guess it’s a matter of finding the significant difference. I don’t have enough experience with such circumstances to offer guidance.

What type of accts were in that test file? Could it be that banking accts import, but investment accts don't? How about split txn vs non-split?

Just manual accounts. Nothing was connected.

I tried some things (one at a time) with no luck:

1. Removed the file password
2. Disconnected all accounts
3. Removed Separate (closed and hidden) accounts

I then tried the sanitize function and that DID import.

So, that leads me to believe there is something in the data itself that Quicken doesn't like. My data goes back to 2006 so trying to find out what is making it crap out would be impossible.

Since I can't do anything with sanitized data, I guess I'll have to put an end to this subject. Thanks to all who participated.
